i just pulled this from the shop gentei website, don't know more details

We love holidays here at Shop Gentei. Labor Day, Valentine’s Day, Bring Your Daughter to Work Day, and most especially Halloween. Which is why we decided to host another most-likely-legendary alleycat race, this one celebrating the Festival of Samhain.
Here’s the deal though: you gotta race in a costume. Or you can’t race at all.

Afterparty to follow at The Windup Space, featuring Uncle Jesse, Rat Size, and The Smarts.

Just got the below email from Velocipede.

Hi everyone, kind of a last minute thing but we'll be going for a ride on Friday, Oct 31st to celebrate Halloween.

meet up at velocipede at 6:30, leave shortly after! we're hoping to end the ride w/ time to spare so people can participate in the alleycat that shop gentei is throwing at 9pm.

Costumes are strongly encouraged, crazy mutant bikes especially!

hope to see you there!

^actually, that was a missfire. not quite sure where it came from but it's not happening because of the critical mass at 6 starting at the monument.
