Greetings. The LBS is having CX rides weekly. I have been riding MTB's for most of my life. I am interested in some Road Riding and some winter CX rides. Now to the Question. What are your thoughts about the Surly Cross Check Complete? Again, I am looking to do the following: Greenbelt Rides (Gravel Trails), Some Road Rides (15-25mi), and some CX Rides. If not the Cross Check, what would you recommend? I am 6'3 and tip the scales at 249lbs. That is down from 310lbs 17 weeks ago. Thanks for your time and assistance....

From one clydesdale to another then CX bikes are incredibly versatile but, having made the switch to disc brakes, I'm really glad I made the brake change from rim brakes.

Here're are a few that I think you might find interesting. Also, check out the commonly recommended bikes in the clydesdale forum (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=248).
