Classic & Vintage - Cramerotti Road Frame.

Hi there,

I have a Cramerotti road frame and was wondering if you guys might know some information about it.

It's made of Columbus SL tubing, It has Campagnolo dropouts on the frame and fork.

The bottom bracket shell has "Canada" embossed on the non-drive side and "55" on the drive-side.

Internal cable routing through the top-tube, "Cramerotti" embossed on the seat-stays.

There's a few nicks in the paint but nothing too serious.

Any info on this frame would be appreciated, any idea of what the value is?

Back to the topic - that is a gorgeous frameset. Never heard of the brand though, you'll have to let the others fill you in on that.

Cramerotti, named for Guisseppe Cramerotti.

An Italian, ex-racer, lives in VAncouver.

He started up a company called La Bicicletta, originally in VAncouver, then he went to Toronto for a few years and opened up under the same name there.

He started the web-site store as well.

He sold the VAncouver and Toronto stores and returned to VAncouver, opened stores in Vancouver, Calgary and Santa Monica under the name Campione Cycles.

The bikes are very good quality, mostly made by Billato.

What a brilliant colour scheme, sorry no info but obviously a quality Columbus SL road frame in good condition should be worth a bit.

Looks to be a high quality frame, it's still amazing to me how once in a great while a frame pops up that I've never even heard of the maker before. This is one of those cases.

Nice bike. Cramerotti's are more common on this side of the country. What the above poster said about the company's history is bang-on. Google "La bicicletta Vancouver" to get their phone number.

Mr. Cramerotti is still around sometimes and apparently gets stoked to check out the older bikes. I worked with a guy who bought one and took it to the shop, where they dissuaded him from repainting it. Very cool for a shop that sells $9000 Colnagos.

It seems like this is a pretty unique frame with some history. :)

The bottom bracket shell is italian threaded btw.

Guisseppe started this store up when he first came to Vancouver, in the mid '80's.

It was located at approximately MacDonald and 16th ( in that area - there was a 7-11 in the same building) - he relocated the store to the present location on Cambie some number of years later. When he moved to Toronto he sold the store to the previous owner of it - Paul (?). He has now sold the store to his employees and he just kept the wholesale portion.

Guisseppe Cramerotti's store is now known as Campione Cycles and is located at w. 8th and Burrard ( across from Carter Honda) and he also has stores in Calgary and Santa Monica.

He also has some sort of retail operation in Italy which he uses to source the products in his store - he doesn't go through any of the Canadian distributors or wholesalers.

Just my size, too bad you don't live around here.....

As I have pointed out above ( twice) that site is Guisseppe's own site so it should have Cramerotti frames.

what size is it? and the link that I provided was after searching like you said to... and the link is to the clearance page of his stuff... but he carries more than cramerottis...so i was suprised by how few he actually had there... I also checked his online store and he only had 3 road bikes listed there.

Mine is a 54 square.


The Campione cycles web-site has been a work in progress for some time, I think his son does the web work, and it is slow.

The store in Vancouver has a lot more than Cramerotti, a lot more.

One of the reasons I mentioned his retail through Italy thing is that he has a lot of stuff in the store that you just can't get anywhere else.
