Okay, I own a CCM Revenge from Canadian Tire. I got it for a budget price of $300 CDN. It is a dual suspension bike. These are some minor stats:

Dual suspension Y-frame
Grip indexed shifting system
Shimano rear derailleur (crappy Shimano SIS)
Alloy V-type brakes and rims
Quick-release seat
21-speed
26" (65cm) wheels
Lifetime warranty on bike frame
1 Year Parts & Labor

Guess how much travel the front fork has! Take a guess, any guess, silly ones are accepted! Here are a few pics, and don't go by the grease line on the fork picture, if you can see them that is, because that is and older pic.

I will tell the travel after about 10-15 replies or maybe just after 7, depends on how many ppl are guessing and how quickly.

Its a trick question.

NEITHER THE FRONT OR REAR SUSPENSION ACTUALLY WORK.....meaning 0" front, 0" rear! :D

Klein!! Ahahaha SUCH A COINCEDENCE, MY SCHWINN FS 210's FRONT FROZE UP PERMANENTLY after 2 or 3 rides. However, you are wrong on this one, by quite a bit. However, you will knock my socks off if you tell me your travel. Although, I do hope someone will take a rather serious guesss! That includes you Klein!

dude why do this? you trying to make us think that your ccm bike is better then all the Lbs pro bike shops sell. Your also trying to make us think that your forks r better then pro brand name forks. Its sorta rediculous and i agree with kleinmp99 0" front, 0" rear but i think its probably 1" front 1" rear

You're such an idiot. I would never say that this bike is better than the pro LBS bikes. Did I mention anything about that? NO. I even praised Klein. I only started this thread becuase even I was surpprised at what the bike could do. And kona, you're rong by a bit. Quite a -bit-.

Under 3 inches: that is if they use all f their travel ;)

What is the point of this thread anyway?

hooligan

Well, the last few guesses were actually kinda close. The actual travel of this front fork is 60mm...and for a Canadian Tire bike...Wow... Oh well, the susppension fork is probably like 7 pounds!

Dude. If you really wanted to get a cheap FULL suspension in Toronto you really should have went to Sportchek and got an Ironhorse Four X. Most likely the component spec on it is better than yours, is lighter, and Sportchek's mechanics are better than canadian tire's ones.

omfg, HAVE YOU NOT HEARD ALREADY, I BUILT THE WHOLE DAMN THING MYSELF. I hate people who assume things! PLus, don't get all crazy about iron horses. I've seen em actual destroyed as they got ridden. Twice, once in Taylor Creek park, the rear suspension broke (i don't know what model, but it happened quite a few months ago) and another on the street! Same problem!
AND I HAD GOTTEN IT ON SALE FROM 300 dollars to 180!

.... Dude u could of got a way better bike for like a lil more htne hwat u payed for. I have made a list!

Norco 2004 Pinnacle for $285 cdn
Norco 2004 Mountaineer for $340 cdn
Norco 2004 scorcher for $250 cdn
These r great beginner mountain bikes and can handle alot of drops, so u could of got a better deal buying these norcos.

Do you have pictures of these breakages to back up your claim? If not, don't make claims like that with out anything to support.

Also, stop with the attitude, the attitude you are showing will only get you into trouble here. Just ride it no one really cares, ride it until it dies, then get a better bike, and at your price level look into a hardtail.

Ok...I'm never one to flame someone. But, I think your a little deserving of one. You post a department store bike, ask us to guess it's very minimal travel, people guess, you get an attitude... What gives?

Take your department store bike and go huck yourself and use all of that 60mm of elastomer undampened pogo-stick suspension.

You built it my A@@. Next time you say you built it up, don’t take a picture of the shipping box it came in. Bolting on handle bars does not count for a build. Am I to guess that you attached all those pretty reflectors yourself too? Come on now.

Glad you get free medical in Canada, ride it in the dirt and you'll need it with a bike like that

You asked us to guess and then when we did guess you brought on the attitude. WTF? I didn't know Canadian Tire bikes came unbuilt. Prolly more like Ikea with some assembly required if you wanted to save the assembly charge. Putting on handlebars and pedals does not make a you a bike builder. And in your original post you said you paid $300 for it. Now you say you paid $180? Did you forget you bought it on sale? Or are you trying to justify buying a CCm over a nicer Norco or IronHorse? CCM makes good skates and hockey equipment. I would stay away from their bikes. That thing'll prolly break faster than the Norcos or IronHorses mentioned above.

HAHAHA thats pretty mean man. But seriosuly you building that bike? Pretty unlikely. Many of those parts require specific tools. Unless you have those tools you will have lots of trouble with it.

To the ones taking part in the hostilities in this thread, last warning, if this carries on, actions will have to be taken. Please, let's not have it go that far.

sorry danka but it is kinda riduclous for hooligan telling us to guess on a department store forks. Also for what progre-ss had posted that hooligan said he bought it for 300 and then he says he bought it for 180.....

Actually,Kona, my LBs is full of other stuff. They overprice a lot of things. In the store, anything from 100-300 dollars basically does not exist. 300-400 is out of my range but it can only get me Trek 800's, 820's and a 2001 Raleigh Inferno SX. Then from 400 and up,there are hardrocks, rockjumpers, stumpjumpers etc. Their a good fan of expensive Specialized (I call expensive 500 and up, hardrock is cheap but is out of what I was willing to pay) but they dont have any Konas, Rocky Mountains or a lot of Raleighs. I'll chek out pink bike now.
