Its a couple hour drive to pick them up. I'm tempted...but the hubs concern me. I'm not so sure I could get a replacement cone for those.

They look so damn nice. I fear buying used wheels not knowing if they were properly tensioned.

Steel centered hubs with alloy sides? These are Fratelli Brivio-made hubs for Campag.

Nuts are cheap replacements.

You have me. I'd hazard a guess at the '60s, for I do not recall Nuovo Gran Sport ever having steel three-piecers...

Unless the individual comoponents are worth some serious coin as vintage collectables you can do much, much better.

The hubs are from the 50's and are set up to take two fixed cogs. They are not common at all. They were likely sold as hub shells alone. The rims are also quite nice and are from the 70's or 80's. For what is more or less a NOS st of wheels, teh price is very fair if you have a bike that these make sense on. To buy the components and build yourself would cost more.

I have a set of those rims that were purchased new in the mid 80's. 28 hole rims would have been readily available maybe mid 80's (Ambrosio Synthesis Durex :D)

Mine are hard anodized grey and are labeled "GP4" those have the standard anodization, but have the same profile (box section) of the GP4.

I think those wheels are kind of neat...............
