I posted about a week ago about a lock block flashlight mount. I got a really quick reply too. Mere minutes. So I was thinking about the light mount thing and figured somewhere between my basement and garage I mave all the makings of a good light mount.
2 hardware store broom wall mounts
1 bolt
1 wing nut
1 star lock washer
Drilled 2 holes and presto the worlds cheapest non-marring light mount that will accept any small diameter flashlight and mount to most any handlebar with No scratching. It has almost infinite aiming positions too.

that's a really nice set-up. i'm growing tired of waiting for the lock blocks to come-off backorder.
question: is the part of the mount, designed to hold the flashlight, set-up to accommodate different diameters?
the deal extreme handlebar mount will work with 26.0mm and under diameter bars.
I used my own rubber shims and added a pair of washers to the bolt.
On a related note, I'm having a hard time with my lockblocks holding my MTE P7 light, it's just too heavy and it bounces around alot. I may go back to the fenix mount and just super glue the thing into one position (the chattering is the only problem I have with the mount).

i am still waiting on my fenix mounts. from what i have read on the reviews of this mount, the "chattering" can be solve by putting a piece of inner tube or even some wax paper between the two halves.
i do not think i would glue it except for a last resort.
