so i wanna convert my cross bike to a 1x9 w/ a 36t front ring, i have a 5bolt 110bcd crankset and i can't find a good bash ring for it, ie not the salsa ringdingers or the bbg rings they are only 1/8in thick, i'm lookin for like a 1/4 inch ring, it looks like race face used to make one but i can't find it anywhere and its not in qbp so cant get it lbs, i know i could get a mtn crankset and put a full 10mm plactic bashring of awesome like on my mtn bike but i dont wanna pay for that, i'd prolly put 2 bbg rings next to each other before that

ps yeah i now the 1/8in guard should be fine but i like ot ride my cross bike at some of the xc trails when i don't feel like usin my squish bike, and i also want it to slide over logs better and not dig in

thx

Dang, the only thing I ever hit with my chainring was an armadillo.
Does not make a good sound.
They are not very intelligent animals.
Damn thing went right back to grubbing and browsing.

The trials version of the salsa chainring guard is thick(1/4"??). The website lists a 110mm/36T version, but I can't find a site that sells it. You may have to order from you LBS.
