Like 38 or 40mm. Really. Race tires.

I don't know about you guys, but a lot of our courses are designed to throw in a lot of tight turns on rough and lose terrain. Instead of grassy parks, we have cow fields, with all of the associate ruts, etc. Courses designed by mountain bikers. Fun, but rough.

I've been running Speedmax in 700 x 40 and thought I would hate them, but I've fallen in love with the volume, and the semi-slick design keeps them decently fast.

But they're wire beaded pigs.

So, is there anything out there for me? BTW I don't think I can go larger than a true 40 in back and have any sort of leftover clearance. Mud isn't a big issue here, but I don't want to ask for trouble.

Or should I HTFU? Does patentcad race cross?

I have a wheelset with 29x1.8 (700x45) IRC Mythos tires that fit on my Poprad for singletrack rides. I had to trim the side knobs off the rear, but it worked.

I thought dugast only makes up to a 34

I would get some tubular 34s and run low pressure

Can't afford tubies right now. College.

45 with aggressive tread is too big. I'd never run my panaracer fire cross in a race...

Oh well, I realize it's ind of a shot in the dark.
