Ive recently had my Dahon MuP8 2007 model repaired under warranty to replace the seatpost and handlepost, and as a result my bike now has the Mu P8 2008 parts which AFAIK have been uprated from the 2007 parts. The screw-cap on the Zorin post-pump is a big plus as my old post-pump kept dropping out onto the road when riding - not very nice, but I can't see any real difference in the handlepost. Has the 2008 handle-post been changed or uprated since the 2007 MuP8? As far as I can see, the clamp on the telescopic handlepost seems to fitted in the opposite orientation to my original 2007 handlepost which makes a slight difference to the folding action that I was used to when clamping/unclamping the handlepost before the handlepost was replaced.
Can anyone out there with a 2008 Mu P8 please post a clear and large photo of your bike's handlepost, or point me in the direction of such a pic?
TIA

Thanks but I've already seen that one and it only shows the detail from the lower section
Perhaps you could post a pic of yours and explain how it is different from the other one?

Here's a pic (http://www.johnoconnell.plus.com/MuP8/MuP8HandlePost2.jpg) of my bike's handle-post before said item was replaced. The new handlepost differs in that the clamping lever faces in the opposite direction so that rather than pushing the lever away to clamp, you now "pull" the lever. I was wondering if this is as designed rather than my LBS fitting the handlepost incorrectly (which I doubt) as it makes folding the bike a bit trickier.

I think you need to loosen the base and turn the handlepost around 180 degrees ...
does it fold to the inside of the bike or the otside ?

Inside.
So do you mean that the handlepost in the photo needs to be turned 180 degrees or is the handlepost in the photo correctly oriented/setup?
