... ok, just as a Cat4, but I'm pretty stoked nonetheless as they're the team I targeted initially (yep, they've got pretty cool jerseys :)).

Seems to be a good mixture of knowledgable, friendly, humorous, laid back guys. But they also have no problem taking training seriously and race pretty aggressively -- so no more excuses for me in 2009. We shall see.

Awesome, good luck. I remember when I joined my first serious team as a 4 last year. Good luck on 2009 and I think you'll exceed even your own aspirations.

cool man! I flirted with the idea of joining team, again, but thankfully talked myself out if it :p

Nothing else matters.

I sponsor a team because they have cool jerseys. And a few of them are long time pals of mine, but seriously, no fashion sense, no dough.

Where does this team race? Are you still in Colorado?

Congrats....joined first "serious" team this year as well. Good part about mine is that it is heavily Cat 1,2 guys with a couple of 3's. Now we have 4 of us 4/5 guys. Team does not split up weekly rides. Stay on or die kind of stuff with an ex-olympian (so I hear) and ovr 50 state champ, a cat1 state champ, various 1's and 2's from the area, etc...

I can only hang when they're talking at the start of the ride, but what doesn't kill me only makes me hate myself more....where were we? nvrmnd.

Sorry I think there are some reaaaaaaaaaally fast guys on BF. ;)

I am not one of them.

Sorry Charlie, but I've seen those pink day-glow striped brassiers and they are not cool. :p

Yep, gotta keep the throngs of 20-something year old fashion conscious hotties wanting more racer meat happy (or so I wish).

Uh yep, still in (and loving) beautiful CO. Although sometimes I wish I was racing in a less talent laden state, as I'm put to shame on an even more consistent basis than when I was in CA.

Great way to get fast, really quick. My team currently has about 25 Cat 4's -- we'll see what actual participation is like this Saturday.

I thought I read in Velo News that you had won a race(?). But seriously, I thought I did read somewhere (on BF at least) that you did.

pfftttt... Not only will I lay down the sweat drenched gauntlet, I will also smack it across the cheek of the nearest, faster than me BF racer.

You know that only rewards them, right? :twitchy:
