A new rear hub is next for me.
My trusty mechanic Brian at my LBS- Pleasant Hill Cyclery is psychic.
3 days before the Foxy's century he told me my rear hub was getting on a bit and showing some wear but that he was sure it would get me through.
I guess I tore that thing up over the 108 I rode that day! I weigh 185 and ripping along at 20+ for most of the day was just too much for it. The great part is it gave me no problems on the century.
Then yesterday on a 15 mile recovery spin it stared to feel and sound just like a pepper mill.
Talk about good timing. :)

hey, I have one of these also. Same color and stickers, everything
except the brake guides on top and the chrome on the seatstays. And
a thick layer of dust and cob webs.

Thinking about getting the 2009 Cannondale RT2 tandem. Seems like a great deal and ride. Just have to patiently wait till at least end of the year before the bike hits the shops.

It would still be on my list if I could justify $15,000 for a bike. The one I have is an older generation and goes for about a tenth of that amount. I still love it, though....:love::love:

yeah, a little dusty but can easily clean. I guess better than rust. It has full 7-speed
Dura Ace components, rideable but never take it out.
Next purchase should be to finish a full c record or super record group from the
late '80s for this rebuild. I have a few parts from each and was looking
at ebay.

That single speed you are lusting after is too subtle. Try this one

Nah, not quite. It does separate into two. It's a fully suspended road bike. 20" wheels, 21 lbs. Moultons hold the record for fastest times on a conventional geometry bike - 51mph.

Not a kickstand, but a Under Bottom Bracket Bike Stand. Any LBS should have them, and they run about $12-$14. Alternately, you can just order one from your choice of vendors:

Given the economy, well, a new helmet :)
Would like to buy an MTB too now that it's fall, but it'll have to wait till next year -- $500 down the drain for new front tires on my car today, and too many other priorities in the near future...

What's next? A new NorCal checkered jersey and bibs. Just sent Henry the PayPal for 'em. This week I'm also going to get some new shifter and brake cables, along with a bunch of housing and new grip tape. It's time to change out the stem and bars on my Bianchi for the much wider bars I have in the garage. Then replace the seat and I'll have a nice soft steel bike for long rides.
If all goes as planned I'll be sportin' the new SRAM Rival with carbon shifters since my buddy scratched the heck out of my Ultegra SL shifters. They still work fine but cosmetically they look funky. Wish me luck! :)
I have a ton of other things on my wish list but my wife and wallet don't agree...

Arrrgh....must...resist...temptation. I've been trying to talk myself out of it through mere logic (the usual, "when are you ever going to ride in such dark conditions that warrant such most awesome light"), but it's really been very difficult.
