So I'm in need of some advice. I'm at CSULB, want some advice on how to get to the Anaheim convention center area. I was thinking taking Willow which turns into Katella and that's basically a straight shot. But was wondering if anyone has any better advice on a route to take? How's the traffic and roads going that way?
Thanks.
Hi,
The route you listed is the easiest way to get there. Depending on when you ride it, the traffic can be pretty bad. The worst part is when you get to Disneyland because Katella has no shoulder at that point and there is a lot of traffic going in and out of the hotels, etc along the street. Early Sunday morning is the best time to ride that route. ;)
Unfortunately, there isn't a better reasonably direct route of which I know.

Another option is to take Cerritos. I rode it a few times on my way to Fullerton and it was not too bad at 7AM.

When I used to work by the 405/710, I commuted home east on Wardlow, south on Orange, east on Spring/Cerritos, south on Knott, then east on Katella. You'd have to be comfortable with taking the lane through the Disneyland area - if you try to hug the gutter they're you'll have problems with drivers passing too close and pulling out of driveways. I don't know of any alternates through the Disney area unless you're willing to add a lot of extra miles.

From what I'm hearing taking Cerritos all the way down to Disneyland is probably the safest route. But as soon as I get down to the Disneyland area it's going to be a mad dash through those streets in that area because there's no shoulder and cars are moving pretty quick. Which should be some good motivation for some hard sprint workouts, lol.
Thanks everyone.
