Wow! What a delight to read all these lovely birthday wishes!

Extra delightful to find that Retro Grouch and I share a birthday -- extra special, that's us. ;)

A synopsis of the day:

At my association of Realtors meeting in the morning I won a car wash, and took a lot of grief for the unglamorous story about my injury.

I had a chocolate cupcake at lunch.

Instead of riding my age, I slept my age -- a 54 minute nap. It was pure bliss. And it gave me the energy to enjoy a lovely dinner with the man of my dreams, a little wine, and an evening of gabbing away with friends and family on the phone. Life is good!

Today we took the day off to make a trip into SF to visit our daughter, but her plans changed, so after bit we'll take the tandem out and see how the rib stands up to a casual ride.

Thank you for your good wishes, and for taking the time to share them. I'm blessed by my many friends. :love:

Yes, the rib was just fine and the ride just what I needed. I'm going to cut back on the pain meds so I can ride solo. I don't need a v!codin haze as my riding partner. :eek:
