I am 66 years old male, retired and after 46 years auto commuting began serious riding 4 months ago, 5-6 days a week 17 miles flat ride, I am using a high cadence averaging 16-17 mph and legs/back & arms feel great. Now I want to extend my ride to 25 then to 35 over the next few weeks but find I get a left hip pain after 20 miles. When I feel/push on the spot it is not sore and dosen't bother me walking climbing stairs etc.
If I move around on the saddle then it disappears for a while then it's back again... feels like a saddle problem but I don't know for sure.
I also get small gall in the right side all the way up (may be another indicator) but bag balm seems to make it ok for my ride.
I followed & re-checked the setup system, heel/pedal for saddle height and knee/pedal position for seat fore/aft location.
I have a Fuji team pro-series... rides like a dream.
