I just gotta electrify this...84638
With hub motors on both rear wheels. The front has a free wheel with the pedals (one speed) and it steers from the back wheels.
Just have to redesign the rear end to support the outside motor axle and still allow steering and keep the cool look.

God this'll cost me a fortune.:)

How fast can you go now with one speed?

On my 26 inch bike, I've gone 21 mph (with motor assist) before I got scared. I hardly ever use anything but high gear.

The three wheeler will have to be totally reworked, I see now.
I think I'll just reverse engineer it to a bigger size (I'm 6'5'' x 240lbs). On the OEM design, I'd look like I was riding a stick.:p
Square steel tubing, 24" front wheel. Maybe 26" rear.
Move the pedals back so a welded-on "bottom bracket" just clears the wheel, put the hub motor on the front with a freewheel sprocket and figure out a backwards chain sprocket system.

Probably have a tendency to oversteer at good speed with that back wheel steering. I guy could get used to that. Like driving a car backwards.

This thing just looks cool. Practical? Probably not, but it'd be a blast to make.
