…in my household. My wife is trying to outlaw the use of “just sayin’" in our daily conversations.
I don’t think it’s right…just sayin’.
If that's what you want to do, aiiiggght by me. I am not saying, I am just saying.
Start using "can ya dig it?" or "thas what I said."

Like why? At the end of the day, it's just words. Know what I mean Vern?

I have a friend that like, ya' know, totally uses that just sayin' thing and ya' know, like, it totally just bugs the crap outta me. Ya' know, like when were talking and he like just says just sayin' and ya' know, like it is soooo irritating, ya' know?
Anyway, like, I said, like three different times to him;
"Like, ya' know, I'm totally getting bummed out with your just sayin', ya' know? Like is that the only thing you know how to like, say to make like a, point, ya' know?"

My daughter says. "or whatever," after every sentence or whatever. I have no clue where she gets it. Probably from her mom or whatever.

Just saying it isn't all that bad, don't you know.
It's a whole lot better than 'nuff said, eh?

That's my favorite, but I never can remember to use it in conversation.

I never get the "you know" one. If I do indeed know why are you telling me? Tell me something I DON'T know.

"...just sayin'..." is essentially a Get Out Of Jail Free card for conversation, at least in theory. It's supposed to let you say whatever the f*** you want about anything/anybody, then when you tack on "just sayin'" you're trying to imply that you didn't really mean anything you just said or were just merely making a supposedly obvious observation. However, in practice, the people on the recieving end may not quite feel the same way.
"Dude, your mom is a f***ing wh***. Just sayin'."
It usually doesn't bother me, but when the inappropriate stuff starts getting thrown around it gets really annoying. If you really don't mean it, don't say it.

I dated a girl who said 'whatev' to much, I banned the use of it. Hearing 'Whatev' after every sentence or so drove me crazy. Don't date younger girls.

I will usually say "do you know what I mean?" if I'm relaying something to somebody, usually when I get absolutely no reaction out of them, like a nod, or facial expression, or what-have-you.
When explaining something, I'll end with "Understand?" or "do you understand what I mean?" For some reason using the word "understand" gets an answer out of people a lot more.

why does your wife hate colloquialisms?
It probably has to do with the way I say it, which is in a high pitched whiney voice...just sayin'.
maybe she loves the term but hates you?:innocent:

I only say "Just sayin'" if I am also simultaneously gesturing, acting out, signing, or writing it. Just to make the saying more pointless.

No...she tolerates me with extreme indifference mixed with passionate ambivalence.
