Bicycle Mechanics - Threadless fork question
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Can I use a non-integrated (threadless) fork with an integrated headset? Are there any special precautions doing so? Thanks!!!

Is there anything special I need to do so that the steering tube "looks" normal at the junction at the fork?

Functionally, not a problem, but it may look funky as your non-integrated fork doesn not have that wide crown area which comes up flush with the head tube.
They usually look a lot better the other way around........an integrated fork mated to a conventional non-integrated frame/head tube.
