I have set of koolstop black brake pads on the front of my beater and they are really squeaky. I have them running on an older ceramic rim that is pretty worn. I know these type of pads do squeak, but my other bike has them and they don't squeak at all. I was wondering if this was due to the ceramic and that it is still around 0 celcius right now and they squeak because of the cold. They are properly aligned and toed. Any suggestions?

Switch to the green KoolStops. They are specifically designed for ceramic rims. If you want to use the black ones, make sure that they are toed-in correctly. The front edge of the pad should hit first. This will eliminate squeak.
