29, live in UK, but work in Germany, luckily I ride both sides of the water. Whilst in Germany I mainly do urban freeriding and single track. these dark evenings allow me and a bud to a lot of night riding. V good fun!

I ride a hybrid really. She is a scott tampico 19" frame, Mavic D521 alloy rims, with mud hugging michelins. Deore set up, DMR pedals and bash guard. My favourite part of the bike has to be the forks. Z1 dropoffs, lush is an understament.

Just one 22 month old Hungarian Viszla, Bosley, though some of the neighbours refer to him as "Crazy Horse"

We have two a Westie called Howard and an Englsih Mastiff called Phoebe. Like your canine companion, some refer to her as the Donkey! She is just a year old and weighs 7.5 stone

You'll probably agree with my sign off then-- The more I see of man the more I like dogs.

Where are you based in Germany?

A town called Meerbusch, which is in Dusseldorf. about 150 miles from the Dutch border.

I see you are from Scotland. I have a lot of family in Falkirk and Sterling. About 11 years a go I took my bike up to the Orkneys. I stayed on Orkney for one night then caught the ferry out to Sanday. What a place. I rode for a whole day and saw 1 person!. Loads of cows and sheep though!

The following year I went to Scrabster, then took the ferry over to Tiree in the Outer Hebrides. I stayed in a hotel in Gott Bay and the rides were amazing. I will try a dig out some photos!
The only bad part was the 7hour ferry ride!

Check out this DH. I went for about 20 minutes without stopping!

I could quite fancy a tour round the Scottish islands:

Orkney, stopping at Scapa and Highland Park, Skye, stopping at Talisker, Islay... well put it this way I might not get as much cycling done as I ought to :D

I know what you mean those remote island pubs hold some nice whiskies!
