I am able to play hookey tomorrow and ride. Considering a long ride along the Fox River Trail, starting in Elgin. If anyone has the afternoon off and would like to join, let me know.:speedy:

I've got a light schedule and could probably sneak out for a mid-day ride in the Barrington Hills area if you (or anyone else) is interested.

OK ... I'm interested. Barrington Hills sounds good to me too. ;) What time?

I'm definitely riding this afternoon. Not up for a 25 mph hammerfest though, what I need is a long fat burning ride. I suggested the Fox River trail because of the lack of cars, it is very scenic now, and it should be fairly open.

I really don't have a decent mtb option. My winter bike has studs on it and my commuter is uber stiff aluminum and I think I would get killed on the rough sections. Matt, how long are you up for on a Barrington Hills ride? When? I think we could hang together for most of the ride Jim.

The path I'm referring to is paved. I will be riding my road bike.

Jim, How far can we ride paved?

I completely mis-read this and though it was asking about Friday.

I'm out for today.

I created the post yesterday,in hindsight I should have put the day as opposed to "tomorrow" in the heading :o

FRT is paved for almost all of it's length CC. I commute on it. No problems riding it on a nice rig.

Assuming you ride south there is an unpaved section in Northern St. Charles. It is likely so hard packed right now that it will be nearly like riding on concrete.

I'm a go north kind of guy :D

Then you guys are possibly going to pass within a block of my office (downtown Algonquin). Let me know if you're feeling the need to stop at some point for a bite to eat!

Still no response back from CC, so since it is so late now, I will just head out for a few laps at Busse Woods
