Info on GT Interceptor?

I just salvaged an older GT Interceptor from the trash, and I'm trying to find out some info on it. I think it is about 10 to 15 years old, maybe made in USA before GT was sold / bought out?? Serial # begins with YC. Bike is chrome-finish 4130 CrMo tubing w/ large winged GT decal on main tube; one piece crank w/ GT logo pedals; Shimano freewheel; Aluminum rims w/ original 20 X 1.75 skinny knobby tires; center-pull cantilever rear brake; skinny hard plastic seat. I'm not looking at the bike right now and that's about all I can remember; sorry no picture. Can anyone tell me something about this bike?

i purchased this bike for 50.00 and added the 3 piece crank to it as it had a one piece, also added the old pads and purchased nos GT ame grips.

What kind of crank is that? It looks pretty beefy!
