If anyone has a medium that is too small for them I'll trade you my large. I haven't even worn it yet. I was going to yesterday when I took the day off to take a long birthday ride but frankly I don't like my stuffed rear pockets hanging on my butt. I thought it would fit since I have other voler large jerseys but I think they are race cut.
If interested PM me. I'll never wear it I have too many jerseys anyway.

BTW yesterday was just about a perfect day to play hooky. Myself and a friend rode from WC BART up S. Gate Mt Diablo, and the new tarmac is oh so smooth; down N. Gate then went out and did Morgan Territory which has been fairly recently chip sealed. Not as nice as Diablo but a big improvement from last time. Then rode through Livermore to Pleasanton BART and back to Alameda.
Here's pic taken with my iPhone, I'm on the left:

Your other jerseys were probably not race cut. My large 5 pass jersey is exactly the same size as another x-large Voler jersey (also club cut) I got 2 years ago at the Sierra Century. Same cut, same material jerseys, and the same dimensions and fit except that one says large and the other XL.

That would be called vanity sizing. So sad that it's made it into the cycling apparel world.

I still don't get it. The DR jersey is the smallest piece of clothing marked 'Large' that I've ever worn. I certainly understand that the average cyclist is smaller than the average joe sixpack, but it makes sense to me to keep sizing consistent. If they reduced the sizes it would make large appropriate for a 160lb man, which seems to stretch the meaning of the word large.. :)
I wouldn't be offended if I was told that I am now an XL, but I would wonder what everyone bigger than me is going to wear :D

George has two jerseys that fit the same. The older one is called XL, the latest one is L.
Makes you feel like you're not so big since you're wearing L instead of XL.

I don't care what the jersey says as long as it is consistent. These jerseys are getting expensive and on rides or special occasions such as the DR 5 Pass you need to buy it without any chance of trying it and exchanging it if the fit is not right. Most of the centuries around here use the Voler brand which has great quality but fit consistency is important. I also wonder if the jersey shrinks after a couple washes. I wore mine today and the fit was fine and seemed a bit tighter than my other XL Voler. I will need to compare them again once it is washed.
