So I am riding home tonight approaching downtown Seattle. I am coming up on what the locals like to call the Mercer mess do to the high volume of traffic. I usually have the most trouble with cars when trying to cross this mess. Everybody seems to be in a hurry to get nowhere.

Well tonight I am approaching the light at Mercer and there is a line of traffic waiting for it to change so I slow and am balancing myself waiting for traffic to move. Right in front of me is a garbage truck all of the sudden there is this young woman who is trying to pass to the right of me (oh yeah I am in the right hand lane) and she stops next to me. I tap on her window and say hey thats not safe you aren't going anywhere anyway. She gets pissed and says she is making a right turn she can do this and pulls so far up the nose of her car is literally under the garbage truck. I just hold my ground to the left of her. As soon as the light changes the driver of the truck jumps out, it seems he was waiting for the car in front of him to clear out of the way so he could roll a dumpster out to his truck. I laughed and turned to the b!tch and said "there must be a God and you have bad Karma"(no pun intended) and sped around the truck and was merrily on my way while she had managed to trap herself behind this thing until he was done.

You know sometimes life is good to us :D

Yes, ngateguy, life is good to us. But you know, what if we were to have some compassion instead of wishing bad karma, we might enjoy many more good things that life has to offer. And to have the good karma keep coming.

Keep cycling. Stay smiling. :p

I am always impressed how normal, intelligent human beings can turn into complete morons as soon as they take their car into heavy traffic.

... Or even light traffic for that matter. At least heavy traffic reduces their scope to perform their moronic acts.

Sounds like the weather we had this weekend (not quite as warm) great riding weather :D Of course now its raining again, but that makes it easier to work.

Yea, I know what you mean. I spent the day gazing out my office window dreaming about being out on the road bike on a self supported century!

(I just love the new smiles!)
