Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Is it just a local phenomenon, or does the wind in late summer/early fall always blow from the southeast? It seems as though it blows from the west any other time of the year. While riding the entire Wabash Cannoball Trail, the wind was tough enough to make me switch the route to stay out of the wind on the South Fork heading east.
It was just the pressure system that went through at the time. I spent most of my adult life in NW Ohio and the wind varies usually when a Low or High comes by just right.
I've done the WCT (northfork) a few times already this year, and will be heading up there to do it again several times over the next 4 weeks.
