Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - How many copies of Mayo on paper DO YOU WANT?

In order to ease tracking the number of copies people would like of WK/Mayo fix-lit in print, please respond to this post.
I know this is hyporcritical for me to say, but please keep this post on its intended course. For those of you curious as to what the hell this is about; see this post:

be advised that input/layout/formatting is done, so no more materials are needed for this "issue"...

FYI - once we get a total number of who wants what, you'll receive a PM regarding address (any help on postage would rule!) and anything else. Go easy on billing to Schiek, his credit runs out at $2.63 as he needs to buy diapers. And save money for the other diapers for his upcoming addition to the family. Word...

There are some options coming up, and right now I'm trying to figure out distribution. The print copy is on it's way to me, to be forwarded to Mayo for perusal. Perhaps a special edition, in limited copy will be coming out.. As well as a few other bonus items.

Thanks to all for the intrest. The print proof is on it's way to me: and then on to Mayo for review. The final issue is to figure out distribution and etc. There are some sidelines for it coming up too. So far, it seems sweeter than green lights and no traffic.

can't i simply search for old mayo posts, and print them once i bring them up? or, as another alternative, i could write my own fiction about how i was accepted by indigent transgendered ppl of other races, despite my high-end trackbike, b/c i ride with such passion and write with such flair?

these seem easier than putting together hardcopies of message board articles, to me.

As far as the Mayo project: to each their own. Print them up, do whatever. It's your life. WK is merely offering a nicer option for those interested.

You could. Let me expand on what is being done and why. And perhaps you'll as, Johnny Cash sang "come away with a different point of view" (boy name sue).

The interaction here is something that will, eventually fade, either the sight get's shut down, or what ever... Time goes on. I didn't, and really don't know Mayo. I've never met him. I PM'd him in the past saying he ought to put it all in a book. I got a "yeah yeah" response. One night I got a hair up my ass and decided to make a book out of his writings. I cut and pasted all that he wrote (similar to what you're thinking), and was gonna Kinko it.

I was then gonna simply mail it out to anyone who wanted it.

The purpose was to preserve in a small way, something that was unique. Something to put in your bag, pockette or shelf, and refer to later. Just to preserve. My name isn't on it, anywhere.


Then, the idea took off. Mayo has re edited the stories, made them more true to the original, as they had to be cleaned up to be posted here. There will be plusses. Various people sent photos to go with the stories. I then found a proffessional lay out company to do layout, placement, and development. That company did a **** howdy good job of putting it into form. The two people besides myself who've seen it all say it kicks the lama's ass.

The fact that it's being sold is a misnomer. The lay out, and the printing were not cheap. It's being footed out of my own pocket (they aren't deep pockets.) In fact, I've yet to tell my wife that little detail. (She'll get wind when the bill comes in the mail). I don't think I'll recover the cost of printing. If I do, the excess will go to the charity of Mayo's choice. And they aren't destined to be priced high at all.

Now you could cut an paste, but you'd miss out on a collective effort of several people's talents here (none of which are mine), and you'd miss out on the true version, and in some way, you'd kind of miss the point about the "community" that exist here. Just my cheap opinion....
