Made it to 1000 km (my wife and I just started biking late last summer after not biking for 40 years and decided to set some goals for this year). The goal was 1000 km and we just made under the wire yesterday -- looks the forecast for Toronto for the next little while is going to preclude cycling so this may be the last of the season. I don't think I am avid enough to be cycling in the snow.

Anyway I can put a check mark beside that one.

Congrats!

well even if you don't plan to ride on snow, you can still ride where the roads are clear of snow.

if you install Studded tires, there's no problem riding on ice or snow

I don't think studded tires are in my biking future. Cross country skiing is more to my liking I think in winter -- no 2 ton vehicles on the X country trails!

I started bike commuting this fall and I've done 1450km since September. My round trip commute is 50km :(

I'll be cycling through the winter as well. My goal is 3000km before the end of the year.
