Hi, everybody-

I usually dwell in the Classic & Vintage forum, but I'm hoping for some leads/tips from people who know the bike scene in Italy.

My wife and I work with an international arts group that is based in a small town in Italy (http://www.artmonastery.org). They presently live in a former agriturismo just outside of town. They could really use some bikes to get to and from town, since it takes about 45 minutes to walk.

Of course, they have very little money.

In the US, I know that there are community and cooperative organizations in some cities that make cheap bikes available (or even allow you to fix up donated bikes yourself and ride them away for free).

Does anybody know of an organization like this in Italy or have any other suggestions about how I can get my artist friends on some bikes in Italy?

Thanks in advance for any ideas or contacts you can provide.

Eric

I'll cross post this in C&V and maybe charity. Hope that's allowed.
