Anybody know the approx. weight of the new Novara Fusions?
Just looking and comparing it to the discontinued model (guessing)
I would say it may be slightly more. Old being listed at 34lbs.
REI is not able to supply me with a number, some sort of secret I suppose.
They said something about an "industry wide delema".
I realize it's not hughly important, but it's just one of those numbers
I'd like to know when compairing bikes.

I don't consider weight a make or break point on most bikes. If I were looking for a TDF bike...maybe. I would hazard a guess that the 2009 will be with in 5% of the weight of the 2008 version. Most frames weigh within a pound or so of each other. The accessories and wheels make up the difference. Also look at the engine, that is the most important part of the bike. It is easier to shave 15# off of an slightly overweight engine than it is to get 2# off most bikes. FWIW I think I only own one bike under 30# most slam the scales at the 40#+ mark.:twitchy:
