Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - How many miles?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just wondering what you fixies shoot for in daily/weekly mileage. Last year I was after 20 mile days at least 6 days a week. Lightweight compared to some for sure, but I expect to increase it this year. So let's see if all the machismo and bravado in this forum translates to numbers.

Since I'm training for the LifeCycle ride I'm up to about 360 or so miles per week. I'm also in training to go race MTB's next year (on a single speed, of course) so I'm eating about 3500 calories per day. That's 3-4 cans of tuna for lunch, a whole pound of pasta every night for dinner, and a whole loaf of bread per day. And a whole lot of carbs from beer!

Average daily ride is 60 miles via 2 different routes.
Once a week 75 mile ride via same route incorporating 60 mile route.
Once a week 85-100 mile route incorporating the 60 mile route as the base.
Terrain is rolling hills and flat stretches with no extremely steep hills. Probably no more than 7% grade. No long grades. 2-3 city block lengths.
All of the above is in season milage, winter weekly milage is less, due to weather variables. Some weeks go by without any riding time outside and all riding done in the basement on a stationary for 1-2 hours at a time if I can stand it. I am retired and dedicated to fitness through bicycle riding. I have used it to keep my Cholesterol in check and aerobic fitness level up.
And it's fun and I love it. All miles fixed gear.

Impressive! very impressive! Can I borrow your right knee?
I hope I can pull that kind of mileage when I retire. Actually I hope I can pull that kind of mileage at any point in my life. Impressive indeed.

I'm pretty much a transportation cyclist, no car, 3 bikes. So if i needed to go 20 miles i would but i rarely ride for the heck of it.
On an average cold day less than 10 on a nice summer day might be 20 plus.

You don't want my right knee. That is my weakest due to an old construction injury. I would suggest volume puchases of advil. Works for me.

my daily commute is just about exactly 25 miles round trip, unless i take the long way home in an effort to drown the workday in a bath of lactic acid.
add to that another 15-20 miles a week of errand running, lunch trips (from work and on on the weekends) and cafe missions.
and, on a good week, at to that a 30-40 mile sunday ride (which ends with an excellent, all-you-can eat pancake brunch at my favorite restaurant).
so, on average, about 150 miles a week fixed (since i rarely ride anything else these days).

about 10 to downtown where i catch the bus over the mountain then 1.5 from there to work. Then back again. But almost everyday i hang out downtown with my messenger buds or my girlfriend. That could be another 5 miles in itself. All miles fixed. 42-14. No Brakes.

I hope you're not pregnant or nursing eating all that tuna...
