Northern California - Need to find a brazer in the SF area

I have a '72 Bob Jackson project that somehow lost its two bottom bracket cable guides. I have no idea why someone would literally RIP these off of a bike, but I need something there and don't want to use a clamp on guide. I'm thinking of leaving them off, running a more recent plastic cable guide, and flipping the rear cable stop to the bottom of the chainstay. That way, there's only one thing to braze and it'll be nice and clean looking. I need to find a brazer (near San Francisco) that can handle something easy like this and do it for cheap. I think that your Bob Jackson was another fallen victim to a fixed gear during some point in its life. Tragic, really.

My LBS told me Mikkelsen retired due to health reasons. Anyone have current info? I am looking for a local brazer also, and went so far as to read here on DIY brazing... but I would rather leave it to a pro.

I heard the same from my LBS. I'd give Ed Litton a call.

Bernie had a stroke two years ago but he's back at it, with some help. Check him out.

As much as I hate to agree with bigbossman about anything :innocent:, I agree with him abotu Ed Litton. Good guy, reasonable prices, and you'll get a chance to see his digs (nothing special) filled with all kinds of frames and stuff (a C&V type's wet dream).
