Introductions - Hello, from Texarkana

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm a recreational rider who enjoys touring (I'm currently easing back into it) and road riding in general. I own a new Fuji Touring bicycle (thanks to the insurance company), and plan to cycle until God calls me home or cycling suddenly is no longer fun (can't imagine that ever happening).
I'm glad to have found this forum and hope I can add as well as gain from it.

Welcome to BF.
What model Fuji did you get?

I believe it is the 2008 Touring model. It has a 30/42/52 triple chainring, 700x32 tires, comes with a rear rack, and even has brackets for spare spokes. It is made specifically for touring.

Very nice bike for touring.
I ride a race bike with two others that ride touring bike.
Changed the small front ring to a 24 Tooth for hills on mine.

How did the insurance company wind up paying for the Fuji?

The insurance company paid for my new Fuji because I was hit by an automobile and the driver was at fault. The accident totalled my Trek 1420 and banged me up but no broken bones. I will add that my helmet saved me from a much worse outcome.
