I did park of my fs frame with a carbon fiber theme. This is done with contact paper and 2 rattle cans.
I know I'm going to get flamed for have a fake carbon fiber frame, but I like the look and people will obviously know its not carbon when they pick it up:rolleyes:

Instead of doing the whole frame like this I want to mask off and put a design or something into the mix. I was thinking something tribal but idk what to do or what stencil to go off of. Frame base color is a light silver primer, very similar to the aluminum color of the frame.

Ideas? Here's 1 piece with 1 coat of clear. It will be must glossier but the uneven fade and spackling is going to stay the way it is...

From any farther than 3 feet away you would think it is real cf, only when you stop to inspect it you notice it isn't real carbon fiber. I am also messing around with a clear coat that has tiny sparkles in it, which would imitate how carbon looks even better.

The "carbon fiber" look sweet.
Here's a few of my 2 cent ideas.
Whole frame "carbon" have a color fade to add style.
Whole frame carbon with a design of some sort. The tribal designs look hot.
Whole fram carbon with Barbed-wire accents.?
IDK I'm tired, just what I could think of.

You cheetoed your frame Ted...just cheetoed.

Is that a Jamis swingarm?

I have a better bike than Justin. Cuz its full suspension. And he hates that.

You belong over here (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=480393) ...say...post #9.

(don't forget to read the responses)

Fully's aren't always the shizzle, dizzle. I dumped my XLT for a Komodo and I'm pumped.

Lol I knew this was coming. And yes it is Jamis. Your pretty good.

You learn as you go I suppose.

Strong work Ted. I flame every Sam Malone wannabe that wants to bling out his ride instead of putting another scratch in it. (JK)

You did an excellent job BTW.

If you're serious about this...make the carbon asymptotically bigger toward the front of the frame and morph into a giant XLT.

Edit: I'm starting to think "XLT" isn't appropriate for your frame.

Hmm, do a flat olive green in swirls and lines and stuff. http://www.petribikes.com/images/products/Rincon.jpg

That kind of green i mean.. do a continous spiral all around the frame.
