Great Lakes - Ann Arbor Worst Day of the Year Ride 1/25/09

I wanted to throw an announcement up for this event for all of you in the area. It is a free event that happens every year in Ann Arbor, MI and this year it will be on Sunday January 25, 2009. It is always great fun to get out and ride in the winter with friends and this event really brings the community together. I definitely want to do this. Last year my planning got all hosed up and I had other obligations, but I want to do it.

Riding around Ann Arbor and freezing my ass off. Sounds great!

I ain't got no winter gear. I'll take a stab at it if I got the day off.

Happy to oblige. This is the first year I've done this ride, so I'm not sure what to expect. Actually, it's the first year in many, many years I've done a winter ride. :p

Thanks, Petflunky! I haven't done it either - I think it's fat-tire, not just road. I really like the shop the Rhinos ride out of (Kinetic Systems, Clarkston, MI), but otherwise don't know anything about it. It's a long way from my place in AA. I'd rather take a local ride.

Bump! It's almost here!

Sigh. I was thinking of doing it today, but my riding partner (10 y.o. son) wussed out on my. So I just did a quick ride around the village today (about 2 miles). Oh, well.

My manager was there. He liked that the ride ends at the brewery.
