hey Everyone,

Adventures For the Cure is going to take on Race Across America again this summer! This year we are doing a 2 man team and have three goals in mind: 1) Raise 50,000 for our causes 2) Win the 2 man division 3) Break the 2 man record of 19.58 MPH average. Last year we did RAAM but as a 4 man team on Surly Fixed Steamrollers and finished 4th out of 9 in 6 days 13 hours. This year we are using Cannondale Geared bikes!

Adventures For the Cure is a non profit organization that raises money mostly for diabetes along with helping out other great causes along the way. You can read about everything we have done in the past from our homepage here: http://www.adventuresforthecure.com/

We are looking for sponsors to help us raise the 50,000 dollars. If anyone is interested please contact us from our website.

Thanks again!

Adam

Good luck Adam

Considering what you guys accomplished riding cross country on fixies, I can only imagine how well you will do with gears.

I'm a father of an 8 year old girl who was dx'ed with Type 1 diabetes just about 2 years ago to the day. What you are doing to raise awareness of this disease is greatly appreciated. I participated in my first JDRF Ride for a Cure in Death Valley, CA last week. I had the pleasure of meeting a number of athletes living and thriving with type 1 diabetes. It's so great for my daughter to see what others are doing and that she can accomplish anything she sets her mind to. In fact, after taking her to the Tour of Georgia earlier this year where she met some of the Team Type 1 riders, she now wants to be a bike racer:thumb:

I would really like to see the AFC documentary. Would you know when/if it will be showing in the Charlotte, NC area?

Thanks and best of luck this summer.

Chris

Actually the documentary will be released in a few weeks. It will be for sale on our website. I will post a reply when we have it up there to buy.

I am also part of Team Type 1 also. I am on their developmental team. Great group of guys.

I heard great things about the JDRF ride.

Thanks for your support Chris.
