Late breaking news from The Onion -
Sheets Changed After Every Breakup
ITHACA, NY—Michael Pelske changes his bed sheets after every breakup, the 24-year-old bicycle messenger announced Monday. "I'd never bring some woman I just met home to a set of filthy sheets," said Pelske, who changed his sheets Saturday before hitting the bars following his break-up with Linda Keely, his girlfriend of four months. "But then, a few weeks into the relationship, you start to let things like that slide." Pelske's cotton-twill, 180-thread-count, light-blue sheets have been washed 13 times since his mother bought them for him in May 2001.
Wow, bike messengers have sheets. Who woulda guessed. ;)

That's nasty, he washed his sheets 13 times in 4 years, once every 5 1/5 months. No wonder none of his lady friends hang around. And he knows the thread count of his sheets, wierd.

It's plugged into the wall, why wouldn't it work. So what if it only shows red letters, LED style.
Technology isn't wasted on me...

Next time I am in DC, me and you and whoever else you want to invite are gonna prove me wrong and show me that lawyers can be men and drink PBR from a can.

I may only count as a wanna-be lawyer (second year law student), but rest assured, I can drink the PBR with the best of the. Its delicious.
on a side note, why recovering Schiek?? You get out of the business? I'm only asking cause i need to find a job ;)

I know just the parking lot...

You can have his job when you graduate. He's only weeks away from being fired anyway, for spending all his time on the Bike Forums web site instead of getting his work done! ;)

Come see me in ten-years. Either you will have drank the kool-aid and will be on your way to partner, or you will realize that weekends and nights can be useful for activities other than writing briefs and preparing arguments. I chose the latter. Leave work before five and and don't think about it again until the next morning. Used to defend insurance companies...I am still trying to buy back my soul.
Now, I work for a company near and dear to the law student heart. More of an attorney/author/editor/journalist covering the wonderful world of Government procurement law. And, yes, I'm still licensed...VA and MN.

Whoa! ...thinking of something to say...still thinking...at a loss. Time heals all and at least you're doing something more to your liking. Life is too short to hate your job. I've been there. As a matter of fact I'm still in career limbo.

ha... in this market, i can't even find a firm that will let me sniff the kool-aid at a hiring reception. And all i wanted was to sell my soul for this upcoming summer... some fat 2000 a week associate job that will put me on a sweet road bike halfway through the summer. The way things look now, i'll just be volunteering to clerk for a local hicksville judge, maybe take a class or two so i'll have enough money to survive. Curse this economy and the ridiculous amount of people who went to law school instead of trying to find jobs in a field they actually like. Leaves so many fewer jobs for those of us who actually care about the law.
That being said, if i spent half as much time studying as i do on the bike/on the web reading or shopping for bike gear, i'd be in the top 5% instead of the top 25%.

Hrmm.....my website seems to be working just fine. See if it loads now.
Quick poll for all the *cringe* Lawyers out there -
Q: What attracted you to the legal profession? Was it
a) The desire to defend the little people from the big bad evil people.
b) You're anal retentive BDSM freak and love law and order.
c) Youre a slime sucking bottom feeder whose roll model is Gordon Gecko, ergo, law seemed a fun way to fleece people of their hard earned cash.
d) You're smart, and Mum thought it would make an honest man outta ya.
e) The paradox of riding a fixie/singlespeed and wearing an Armani suit was too great to refuse.

and,
c) is a trick question. Gordon Gecko was not a lawyer, but Greed is still good.

Politics AND Law???
OUT SATAN! BEGONE, FOUL BEAST!! Dude, you should be in the roadie forum, boasting about your Colnago C50 with full Record carbon! ;)
For the record, I do NOT know the thread count of my sheets. The GF is solely responsible for those, I have nothing to do with them, case closed.
