What's the warranty?

Warranty

Flit high-performance race wheels rarely,if any, see any manufacturers defects. In the seldom situation, Flit offers a 20 month warranty with a copy of the original receipt and only to the original owner. Eligibility of warranty is assessed at the Flit office and determined by a Flit technician. If a manufacturer defect is determined, product will be replaced of defect and shipped back to the consumer/dealer at no charge. If declared not a manufacturer defect, product may qualify for crash replacement policy(see below). Before shipping your damaged product, please contact a flit representative by either phone or e-mail.

Our warranty only covers manufacturers defects as stated above, and does not cover failure to follow installation guidelines, misuse, crashes, storage, shipping, use in conjunction with non-compatible products, purchased from a unauthorized dealer, normal wear and tear, accident, or just some bad luck.

Crash Replacement

Our wheels where born to race -race hard and fast. Sometimes things don't go the way we planned, and accidents do happen. For this reason, Flit offers a crash replacement program for a damaged wheel. If purchased within the last 4 yrs and accompanied by the original receipt, Flit will replace the damaged portion at a discounted price. To undergo a crash replacement program, contact a Flit representative by either phone or E-mail.

...now get out and race!

Yeah, seriously. While I'd love to race on tubulars, I don't have enough experience gluing the tires on to trust myself. I don't have the funds to have someone do it every single time, and since I live in a dorm, I don't have the space to do it either.

For all these reasons, clinchers just make so much sense to me. Having clincher rims adds maybe 100-200 grams to the wheel. A 1500-1600 gram wheelset with 50mm rims is a good enough weight for me.

I'd want an AL braking surface as well, but carbon/al pads do exist and I'd be fine using those or swapping out brake pads. I can live with that. I don't want tubulars though, so for myself and few others, this group buy is a no go.

If you can offer a similar deal with a clincher version next year, I might be down :)

yes, there will be a cut off date. still unkown.

let me know when you start the track wheel group buy.
I think im going to include some track wheels as well.

Ditto on carbon clinchers...
we will have aluminum clinchers soon. we are going to push it back to jan 09.

Are the stickers removable?
...im going to say "no";)
why are are doing this? we wanted to start some massive advertising, both print and online. Simply put, advertising is expensive! so expensive, we wanted to raise our prices. are motive here is to get the word out on our wheels, with out uping our prices due to advertising. we figure it is a win/win situation for all of us.

...so please dont remove the sticker. :thumb:

Didn't realize Flit was local to me. I'd be willing to support given that clinchers are available.

What hubs do you use on your builds? Didn't see that info on the website.
