There is a max limit in this group buy. once the 10 spots are filled. the group buy is closed.

I added our Track wheelset to the group buy. we got inspired by the zurich 6-day coming up in December. -I wish track racing was that big here the united states.

^I do too. We need many more velodromes. There is a serious lack in the South Eastern U.S.

well, that was the plan.

I was actually planning on purchasing the 50mm set, but now that I see there is a group buy I guess I'll have to jump on this a little sooner!

I hope we get enough people. I'm in, and looking to get the Zephyr (sp?) with the spoke upgrade.

I can't pay until Nov 14th though, not sure if that matters.

I found this from roadbikereview.com, maybe you can post the same group buy on there to possibly get the 10 people.

I am going to assume the hubs are rebadged. I have no idea what brand they are though. You can get Campy too.

I'm pretty excited to be getting the two most expensive parts of a bike in a group buy discount (frame/race wheelset). Both times I found out about the group buys almost last minute too.

we had a rider use these wheels in a pro only race, he was about 175 pounds of pure power. he was actually pleasantly surprised how little flex he found.

Weight was spot on. actual (digital scale) 1380g (F 600g R 780g) claimed 1383g
Fit and finish were good - lots of bubbles under decals - you know the solution
Wheels were true and hubs spun VERY freely.
Still not sure who makes the hubs and rims

Overall impression - a killer deal for the price.

as for the bubbles, everything is done by hand, so this cant be acceptable.

I just got my Wheelset today. I will most certainly agree with Jeff that the wheels were packaged very well and safely in their own boxes. The wheelset just flat out looks awesome. I opted for the CX-Ray spokes, I am glad I did as they are a dark silver color that match the decals, very slick. Very light wheelset, quality build, awesome price. I ordered some Vittoria Corsa CX tubulars from PBK a week ago, I can't wait to get them so I can ride these wheels!!!

Great looking bike ... stop teasing me with those wheels. I'm dying to get mine. I've ordered my tires from PBK as well... Vittoria Rally. They're just training tires as I won't be racing ... just weekend club rides. I need tires that are durable.

I had them glued by my LBS. I haven't ever owned a set of tubular wheels, so I figured I would have them mounted and glued professionally the first time. Thanks I love my Tarmac!!

We always get asked if we use gigantex rims. I think gigantex rims are good rims, and no shame in using them. We did get samples from gigantex, and they were top notch. But we wanted somthing better/different. Specifically we wanted somthing more towards the specs we wanted -thicker spoke bed, angled drilling for our spoke pattern and dish(road vs track), just to name a few.

right now, we are working on a crazy light climbing wheelset. somthing along the lines of reynolds KOM.
20mm carbon tubular weighing in at 1020g.
also, we have our Al clinchers that should be out soon.

So today i went on a nice, 75 mile ride today on my new Zephyr wheelset. The first thing I noticed was that they are significantly stiffer than my Rolf Prima Vigor clincher wheelset that I've been using. They spin up really quickly and hold speed really well. After 75 miles of riding through the mountains of Santa Cruz on crappy broken roads, they are still perfectly true. After looking at the hubs I am pretty sure who makes them, but I won't tell :). I am impressed with the smoothness of the freehub and the sound of it. This is my first set of tubulars, so it could be that tubulars just feel way better in every way to me, but I give the wheelset a solid 9.5 out of 10. The only possible improvement would be black cx-ray spokes, but those aren't available through Flit. My advice is to pick up a pair of these before the deal goes away, the are awesome.
