United Kingdom - Best UK-based online bicycle shops?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi, I'm trying to take advantage of the momentarily (and artificially) strong U.S. dollar. Totalcycling.com seems to have some pretty good prices. What other online stores should I check out?

Wiggle.co.uk has a very good reputation

I've had good experiences with both www.sjscycles.co.uk and www.evanscycles.com. As you don't mention what you're particularly interested in, they may or may not have "good prices" for you right now.

Thanks, all. I'm most interested in track/fixed stuff right now.

Wiggle, PBK, Total Cycling, and CycleBasket seem to be awesome site. Prices are good right now...

chainreactioncycles.com have a flood sale on at the moment but most of the good stuff has been snapped up.

Wiggle is very good but can be pricey, depending on what you're after. It's all about shopping around.

Fatbirds.co.uk is also a great site and I got some Ksyrium SLs from them for a VERY good price earlier this year.

I live in the States and would also like to take advantage of the current currency discrepancy. ;)

Any of my fellow countrymen order from Wiggle before? Their prices are ludicrous to the point of bordering on "fell off a truck".

I find wiggle often cheaper than chainreactioncycles on some products, but I order from both and am happy with both.

Defiantly Merlin for their hand built wheels, and Chain reaction for other bike stuff

You may want to have a look over at exchange and mart (http://www.exchangeandmart.co.uk) too as there are some bike bargains occaisonally up on the site; you could always put up a wanted ad also, and get a bargain on a specific model etc. Good luck with the hunt
