Hey all, I bought a 2008 Hardrock sport about a month and a half ago and I love it so far! I am in the process of upgrading the fork to a tora rock shox 302 u-turn fork...its arriving tomarrow!! but does anyone have any opinions about the 2008 hardrock sport? or any other things that I should consider upgrading? i will be doing mostly xc riding..Thanks!

I always felt the Hardrock was a nice entry level rig. Obviously it has a lower end front fork but you are already upgrading that to the fork of your choosing. I wouldn't say to put a whole lot in to it right away. Ride it for now and see how you like it. You may want to upgrade the gearing later on. If I am not mistaken the 2008 Hardrock Sport is 24 speed which is pretty good. The next BIG thing might be disk brakes at some point. Seriously though, ride it as is and see how you like it.

Puncture resistant tires may be a good idea depending on what the terrain is like.
