Commuting - Few pics of the commute

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Ok, we all officially have commute envy now. Five photos, and we can see half a car, total.

Great photo's. Great ride ... Can't see the bike all that well. A road bike, & you ride on skinny tires?.. And the commute is entirely urban.

I love commuting through center city Philadelphia, but these pics are making me jealous!

Awesome pictures.
Reminds me of the endless numbers of people who live in New York City and refuse to NEVER live anywhere else. As if New York City is the end of the earth and paradise.
These days to have a commute that doesn't involve thousands of cars, constant blaring of horns and the worry of being knocked off your bike then robbed is worth millions.
However, to commute in an area that relates to the cartoon "Southpark" is worth... (cue Doctor Evil).... Billions....

You are a lucky bast&^***#*$&% !! Awsome pictures. I wish I had a scenic commute, (or atleast a scenic place around my house to ride !!!!!!!) And you say nothing interesting ! Huh !!!!!
Enjoy your rides :-)
no motor?

That's "nothing interesting"? Looks pretty good to me! Especially the pathways that look like they were designed for safe and efficient transit without burning nonrenewable energy - we don't have anything like that where I live.

Nice. I need to take some photos of Crowders Mountain on the way home. The trees are really looking nice now.

Do the leaves make noise when they hit the ground?

I'm also incredibly jealous. I hope to be out in some place like that myself someday.

By saying non interesting I was talking about my commute personally. I watch all these different videos of close calls and crazy riders. I don't have that going on. The scenery is spectacular and I wouldn't trade it!

Not that I can tell.... I am more worried about the squirrels that dart in front o me and slide on the leaves LOL
Does that South Park bike path go by Big Gay Als' place?
Just wondering if he keeps a fresh baked pie in the window?:)

Wow! Nice. My commute to this job I started in July, is 2.0 miles in a straight line. On a clear day, I can almost see it....
Since it is the shortest bike commute I've ever done, I just wear my slacks and work shirt and go as slow...as....possible. Kids in BMX's pass me. Old ladies in electric wheelchairs pass me...college kids in SS pass me.....

Great looking commute!
The photos of the trail look similar to the trail I ride through in Toronto. The trail runs behind houses and close to major roads but it is so quiet and peaceful on the trail you never hear rush hour traffic!

ROFLMAO!!! i don't know... However the Conoco there does have a huge Mr. Hankey in the window last time I was there haha
I hope Big Gay Al doesn't see this post and get his hopes up!
The country your in must be an incredibly scenic MTB workout!
The most I do these days is take the ski lift up Mt. Killington Vt. for the ride down.
Killington is only a foot hill compared to where you live!:)

Here is a pic from thursday 10/30/08 This was closer to the end of the downhill, but it shows some of the great MTB views.

Looks like Gold Camp? Great rides up there with the only noise being the wind and other riders.
My commute is West to East for 21 miles round trip. I get the MUP that follows Constitution down to the Front Range Trail.

Yep, that area it was the lower portion of Jones downhill (trail 667, also part of Buckhorn loop). When I lived with my parents I rode that path everyday, Too bad it's not concrete all the way to the other trail, sometime the broken glass would worry me!
