Foo - Tetnus Shot problems

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Haven't had one of these things since the 80's. Had the shot 10/3 - and of course, as I expected, arm ached for for a few days or a week after.
However it has never stopped aching - no direct point of pain just an overall ache ---- well this morning I have this painful bump towards the inside of my arm, directly across from the shot site.
Calling the doc as soon as they open this morning.
Anyone else have a bad reaction to this?

I wouldn't be surprised to have pain for a week or so, for certain people, but for 3+ weeks, that is extreme.
Best of luck with the doc.
I know someone who has egg allergies, and because of this can't get flu shots and some other injections, do you have any other allergies?
Upon further investigation --- the bump is connected to the bicep as when I flex - it gets bigger and it hurts.
Sheesh. I'm supposed to go load wood this weekend.

Please see the doc. It sounds like it could be something completely unrelated.
yes, see Dr.
I got one a few weeks ago after chain ring chomped me - arm hurt (entire shoulder joint) for about three days, second day was the worst....no bumps, just a dull ache.

Go see the doc.
I haven't had a shot for over 2 years now. I have given blood, but no shots. I'm not sure which is worse.
yah, the bump would seem unrelated.
I hope that the bump does not grow out larger and turn into a tiny version of my head that mocks you incessantly. I had one of those once, and it sucked. Literally. Every time I ordered a beer, the little head on my bicep would suck the whole thing down while I was hitting on the chicks.

Jsharr you are starting to turn weird on us. :twitchy:
starting? you amuse jsharr. I may let you live after I hatch out of Tude's arm.
Why am I starting to think of those old wive's tales (or were they? hmmmmMmmmMM?) where a spider laid it's eggs and the person could feel all this wiggling around and then one day it popped open and all these little jsharr spiders came tumbling out.
Oh yeah, I've so creeped myself out.
Another thought in the back of my mind is a cyst like the one my exhusband got on his arm - quartersized under the skin and the nasty scar when it was taken out.
:twitchy::twitchy:
is it 2:15 yet? :o

Neither. You are wussy. Old ladies do both all the time.
I HAZ GUNS!!! :D
Have a small tear in my upper left bicep - thats the weird squiggley lump I felt. We figure it happened when I was shopping - and the movement for me to pick a bulky backpack and put on my back - I twist and then slip the arms thru -- and on the heavier backpacks (have had several the last several weeks - especially when I hit the public market twice and then the grocery store - of which a couple of those backpacks weighed out at 34 bulky lbs. It wasn't the weight, but more the awkward lifting - and ripping my left arm.
grrr
so no lifting, I tell you even sprints on the mtb - which I do a lot at stoplight sent a cold shooting pain down my arm.
Monday for ultrasound and physical therapy at a sport medicine place.
One good note ----- she had me roll up my sleeves and she said, wow you have guns!
:D yes, please feed the ego.

At least it wasn't an industrial-sized zit. Siu, that was the most disgusting video I've ever seen.
