I'm selling my old rear derailleaur on Ebay and was asked a question that I could not answer.
The part is model RD-6400 and it came off of a 7-speed bike. However, I was under the impression that the number of gears it could support is dictated by the shifter and not the derailleaur. Therefore, is there any reason this derailleaur wouldn't support 8 or even 9 speeds?
Thanks in advance,
