I am not very creative, but I thought we should have a thread for some fun ideas for Halloween.

I will share one of the favorites I have seen. My ex-wife's brother several years ago fastened a potato to a rope and hung it around his waist with the potato dangling in front of him.

Some of you may take a minute on this one...

He was a dictator.

With one small enough, he could have been a speck tater.

dress as a Gumby from Monty Python. Not really that creative but would be fun if you could get four friends to do this with you.

He could have just left the potato off the costume and been a lack tater.

Don't go as the Joker - any of you. If I see another darned Joker costume, I'll puke out my eyeballs. After I poke them into my skull.

I'll be spending part of my workday in a BSL-3 laboratory. My daily work attire is what people dress up as for Halloween.

Strange you should mention that. I had been debating between Riddler and Joker, and - well the Riddler lost out. j/k

My dad once made for me an outstanding Dark Helmet costume. My brother dressed up like Lone Star, and we went trick or treating. We were like 8 or 10 at the time. The sad thing is I don't have pics.

When I was in my first year of med school and studying biochemistry...

...I wore lycra shorts, glued some oranges to my helmet, and wore a T-shirt with this painted on:

Yes, that's right. I was a citric acid cyclist.

i was thinking of going as fred.

i have all the cycling gear all i'd need is a carboard bike(pun on carbon bike) with an oversized downtube and pencile thin seat stays, with a disc wheel(carboard) and clip on aero bars, on it i could write, my "comuter bike" i can carry the bike around, to prove how light it is. wear sneakers and nail some metal on them, so they sound like cleats, wear a safty vest, screaming yellow jacket and black tights. also would need a headlight on my helmet, rear flasher, mirror and clear safty goggles. oh and reflective tape.

It's a little different because:

a.) You're a woman so the fact that it's kind of...um...feminine doesn't matter.

b.) Yours is just a Spongebob head, not a HUGE body suit with white tights.

A Spongebob costume with a Patrick or Squidward companion would be awesome....

I think I'd be pretty close to Patrick territory with just a can of pink paint...I own similar board shorts and everything else is pretty much in place already

I'm thinking about going as Superman going as Chuck Norris...

...because Chuck Norris doesn't wear Superman pajamas. Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas.

I watched The Office last night, and I have a terrible memory for character's names, but my favorite was the one where the guy was just wearing a name tag with a random name on it (I think it was Dave).

So, I could go as an office worker named Dave. Or heck, I could switch costumes several times during the day, and be Dave, then John, then Harold, then Dave again... it would really blow peoples' minds.
