Somebody recommend me a burly saddle. My Pure V has been Cheeto'd.

I don't have one, but I'd like to see someone else get one so I can see it;)

Or the park'n'ride AM

I was looking at those yesterday and completely forgot. I am thinking the AM for this bike because its how I get to class and the FR looks like its a nut number.

Remember, if you get the FR, you can only use it for FR on a FR bike.

Thanks. I know I could use the FR but for this particular bike and for what I use it for I want a little less padding. Let me clarify.

I ride this bike to class, I sit down when I ride to class. When sitting on a saddle that is to soft numbness soon ensues. I don't like it when that happens and I don't know many who do.

The really gnarcore rider will not worry about numb nutz. Get the Azonic Love Seat.

Riding to class is considered AM. Riding home from graduation is FR.

I have one - the TBC appears to be rebranded but substantially identical to the Velo I picked up a couple years ago for around 20 bucks. It's pretty comfy.

Now that's some serious chafing. I guess that makes Scrub both a blond and a brunette.

Is that a toupe?

My bro in-law gifted me with a Selle Italia SLR redone in deer. No padding, just the hide. It's on the SS since I don't sit a lot on that bike. Probably will only last a ride or two before being pulled to hang in the bike room. It's pretty uncomfortable, but I'll give it a ride or two to say I tried it out.

It is pretty light, though.

^^Whoa; won't be able to top that.

But, to the OP: You might also check out the Syncros FR. http://www.syncros.com/saddles.htm Besides being light and darned tough, it's actually all-day comfortable (for my sit-bones anyway) too.

If you're looking for minimalist light-and-tough, the Sunline V-One is hard to beat:

I took dminor's recommendation on this and put it on my DH bike - it's a good saddle, worth checking out for sure.

edit: I wouldn't call it light, though...

The V-one also has "VELO" stamped on the bottom.

The Sunline, Transition, and a ton of other seats for all sorts of companies are made by Velo. Just with different tops/colors and wildly differing prices.

WTB SST FTW! Glad they are going to be making it again.

So the Velo Trail is the same as the Trasition AM, I just can't find the trail for sale anywhere

Sweet!

I'm having luck with my Laser V.

Yep. Saw a few blurbs in various Interbike coverages that said they are reintroducing the SST.

The two WTB something or other seats on my rides now are very comfy, but nice to know the SST is back if I need a new seat down the road.

I hope they bring it back as it was, not messed around with like most other companies do. Hint, hint selle italia flite. That saddle was one of my favorites and now it is pretty much ruined.
