So you let your wife go on a cruise alone? My poor fellow, will it be warm? Will there be drinking? Will there be a wife coming home? ;)

I wanna hear about the bad experience on your first cruise- what happened? I've heard some real horror stories from people who've gone on these things.

I love cruises. I've been on two. The martini bar on the Celebrity line rocks.

Hey, consider that a good thing-- I know a lot of people who dred the days when their spouse comes back from a vacation.

Myself, I miss my wife terribly and get lonely while I am still on my way in to work each morning. :)

A cruise without you does seem odd; there obviously are not trust issues, which is also great!

I don't like cruises either. So you're not alone there.

Better keep a picture of your right (or left if your left handed) hand in your wallet for the next week or so.

dont you do some biking alone, just think you're on your bike; watch videos.

I saw Breaking Away last week. Man, what a dumb film. BUt I guess I wiould have liked it if I was interested in biking when I was a teen.

I do not mind a few days alone. I can graze out of the fridge and don't have to cook.
My wife did a cruise with her sister a few years back. Sister's husband wouldn't go. I sure as hell would have.

I won't be caught dead confined to a boat in the middle of the ocean. Yikes. The thought of being confined like that is just mind-numbing.

You should see this as a blessing. How often do you get a week to just do whatever the hell you please?

Maybe you'd have gone if they had a velodrome on the ship? All I can say is just keep busy, stay away from products involving hops and grapes, and avoid loose women.

Or I'm ratting on you when she gets back. :roflmao2:

Where do I ride my road bike on a cruise ship?

Fail.

When I go on vacation, the road bike goes, or I don't. Ski trips excluded.

If I ever went on a cruise I'd take along with me about a dozen mystery books and only leave the pool deck when it got dark!

I trust my wife with my life, so to trust her on a cruise ship alone is no big deal ;) (Jinx! shes prob on a beach in Mexico talkin' to some Mexican body builder surfer dude! ) Not to mention we both have a lot to loose if we were to part, including 25 almost perfect years AND especially each other :) The first and last cruise I went on I was sick from the first day till the moment I stepped of the ship! :( Dont believe what they say about the ship being so big you barely feel it rocking! or the crap about the stabilizers! ALL CRAP! I had to take dramamine for the entire trip and it didnt work to well at all!

Most cruise ships are absolutely huge and you don't feel confined.

And they aren't boring. The ships have movie theaters, casinos, bars (many bars), discos, game shows, volleyball, golf, shuffleboard, dancing, not to mention stuff to do in the ports you visit. Even the live stage shows were good. I saw a Cirque de Soleil-type show on my last cruise. If you think some of their balancing stuff is tough on land, try seeing them do it on a moving ship. They also have gyms with weights, treadmills, bikes, and aerobics, yoga and spinning classes. Most also have a full beauty parlor/spa.

The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and would basically do whatever they could to accommodate you. On my last cruise we hit bad weather, but as long as I stayed up on deck in the fresh air I was fine. I can't wait to go on another one.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if my wife looked like the lady in your avatar, I would definitely go on a cruise ship with her.
