lately I can't get enough wasabi. At least once a week I've been picking up grocery store sushi (eeeh.. I know), california rolls and putting extra wasabi in the soy (yummm) and my new favorite treat has become either asian party mix with wasabi peas (you can find it in the bulk foods dept of most groceries)
or wasabi soy almonds:

(I actually prefer the archer farms ones from target, but this pic will do)
my wasabi crave has been going on for the better part of a month now. :wtf:
I was pleased to see on my bike ride today that I passed about 4 sushi restaurants in 20 miles. yay!

I love fresh Wasab. Too bad I can't afford sushi and bike goods in these trying times.

[slash! slash! slash!]well, I don't usually eat blue diamond brand almonds... but if I find I start accumulating lids, I'll sure PM you for your snail mail address :)

Arti- look for wasabi potato chips- not as redeeming as wasabi almonds, but tasty, nonetheless. On a more healthful note, wasabi dry-roasted peas are teh hotness (literally).
my wasabi crave has been going on for the better part of a month now. :wtf:Congratulations on the life you'll soon bring into this world! Started thinking about names?
I'm the person who, when she gets her most awesome sushi rawness goodies (oh and perhaps a roll that includes cucumbers and bacon and raw tuna - called the SoughWedge Roll here in town) who asks for extra wasabi --- and then ... upon inspection of outgoing container - asks for more. At which time the servers look at me suspiciously and say ... um ... ok - but they get it for me.
I wad the stuff on each and every slice of sushi and love it!!!
However, I must add the caveat that one must try - REALLY TRY - not to get the wasabi stuck up under the upper lip between teeth and gum because it freakin HURTS.
Other than that.
Wasabi rocks!!!! The more the merrier!!

I sometimes get requests for wasabi-stuffed olives to go along with one of my delicious martinis at the sushi restaurant I work at. Haven't tried them myself yet, but it does sound good. Might be something for you wasabi-lovers to request the next time you're at a sushi joint.
Strange food cravings? Preggo.
Wassabi mixed w/ soy sauce? Sushi neophyte.

Out for sushi with my college roomate. He bet me a case of beer I wouldn't eat the big green chuck of wasabi left after the meal. It was pretty easy. Just swallowed the whole thing.
