im trying to make my tricycle really nice, im getting neons to go underneath it and everything, but rims are real pricey, i have access to a chrome tank, would it be a really bad idea to just dip some normal old rims, (with the spokes, rim, and hub and removed axle and bearings) in a chrome tank or would the chrome layer be too thick or somthing?

Brushed aluminum ftw!
Not very popular on bikes, but you can always be a trendsetter!
Looks and shines like chrome, only more work involved :D

New spokes would do one trick. I don't think you want bent spokes.
