:thumb:Hi folks
My tyres were getting a tad Kojak so decided that while in Switzerland I would ride to Vitelli's in Basel & get some new one, + Long-john tyres and other wierd & wonderful things that Vitelli stock (they also do their own basic badged folder)
On the way there I had a rear wheel blowout, big holes in both tyre & tube, stuck a bit of plastic inside the tyre, fixed the punture and wobbled my way to the nearest railway station, finally got to Vitellis.
As I had read on here that it wasn't possible to fit 2 Big Apples, I decided to put a Big Apple on the rear and maybe a skinnier Schwalbe or Dutch Perfect on the front (for extra puncture protection) but they didn't have anything skinnier in stock, didn't want to risk cycling back on dodgy front tyre so I bought 2 Big Apples, fitted them outside and Surprise, Surprise!!! They fitted no problem and the wheels still magnetted together! There is actually about 1/4" gap still, needs a bit more of a concerted effort to click them together but otherwise no problems (odd squeak as tyre kisses mudguard bracket very lightly)
Have ridden down the Main river path in Germany and on some rough and slightly loose stuff and they coped quite well. Will post some pics when I get a mo.
