Seems like fall has fallen by the wayside in southern AZ!
Went on a tandem toot today and temp got up to 92, while computer on the bike showed 106 when we parked it at the restaurant for lunch.
Hard to believe that folks up north and back east are shoveling snow; here we still need our sunshine shovel to get to our mailbox.
Cooler days are on the way . . .

Roger that, it was hot for a bit today in West Palm while I was washing the bike. Guessing 88/89.

Yep, same here in San Diego. Instead of having to deal with the heat of east county (104), we took the tandem and rode around San Diego Bay where the temp was only about 75.

It is perfect here in NJ.. low to mid 60's. Heading out now for a "tandem toot" now.

The weatherman lied to us, no surprise. Supposed to have a low of 47ºF last night and with a high of 55 today. Woke up this morning for our Sunday morning group ride and it was only 36 when we left the house at 8 am. Only had two other single riders braving the cold to join us. We had a beautiful but brisk 30 mile ride. The maples are turning an awesome yellow/orange/red this year! It was about 40 when we got back home for hot showers. It may get to 55 as the sun is now peaking out. For a November ride in NE Ohio we are just happy for dry weather and no snow :-)

Now we don't feel at all bad about not taking our fall trip south this year. It's been perfect 60's riding weather for days.

We did 40 miles today with a group of 12 with a 33 degree starting temp at 8:30, and it was very nice overall, sunny late colors in New England.

When we resided in Michigan (30+ years ago) we'd ride our tandem if it was dry out and 20 degrees.
Think we'll stick with living in Arizona!

Granted that it will be cold here in Ohio in a few weeks and getting out once a week will be about it, but it's been pretty hard to argue with the last week with temps in the low 70's and sunny or the not having to deal with much heat in the summer. No free lunch , I guess.

Having grown up in Arizona and occasionally coming back to ride, I find it difficult to get used to the heat. My guess is that you get used to whatever your climate has to offer in the long run.
