Hi All,
I have been meaning to sell my Airborne Carpe Diem since May but have been lazy about it since I didn't want to deal with Craigslist or eBay. I need the room back in my shed, though, so I thought I'd try here first (I am posting on the local forum because I'd rather not have to box the bike and ship it). I'll take $800 for it.
Here's what I have:
2003 Airborne Carpe Diem, Titanium cyclocross/randonneur bike, a couple of light crashes, but given clean bill of health from a factory authorized tech, total bike weighs around 19 lbs.
50 cm compact frame, fits more like a typical Italian 52 (I believe the effective top tube comes out to around 53.5), three sets of water bottle bosses, rear rack eyelets
Probably around 12,000 miles on the frame, most everything else has been replaced at some point
Ti frame with Steelman steel fork
Drivetrain: Campy Chorus throughout except Ultegra triple front deraileur, FSA compact crank, 34/50 (can't remember the name of the crank, but it is a low Q, hollow armed aluminum model I put on two or three years ago)
Main Set of Wheels: Campy Record hubs, Ritchey Pro rims (offset in the rear), DT Revolution spokes all around except 15 double butted on the drive side, rear); these were my event wheels and have pretty low mileage
Spare Rear Wheel: DT CXP on Record hub, with DT 15g spokes; rim and spokes are new and barely used
Cassettes: Chorus, 11-23 (very good condition), 12-25 (lots of mileage, but looks good)
Ritchey WCS Pro seatpost, Selle San Marco Aspide Saddle
ITM Millenium bars (42cm) and stem (100 mm)
Michelin Pro Race tires
Paul Touring cantilever brakes
The bike could probably use a new set of cables and saddle, but other than that, is in very good condition. I figure I could get a little more than the asking price, but I'd rather just have a hassle free sale. Anyone interested?
